Olsen Posted September 15, 2009 Share #2 Posted September 15, 2009 They arrive by steamboats, not the ol'clippers, do they...? With fortunate weather you should have them by next month.

thrice Posted September 15, 2009 Share #5 Posted September 15, 2009 I was told if I put money down today/tomorrow I might get one before December. I live in the most remote capital city in the world though, and this would be the 3rd M9 sold in my city. So you Americans should count yourselves lucky
arthury Posted September 15, 2009 Share #6 Posted September 15, 2009 There's a small shipment arriving on a Chinese junk in a week or less and a larger shipment in late Oct or early Nov. You are not going to miss much within 3-4 weeks.

carbonadam Posted September 19, 2009 Author Share #13 Posted September 19, 2009 Where did you guys order from?
adan Posted September 19, 2009 Share #14 Posted September 19, 2009 Local camera store in Denver. Ordered in mid-August. First name on the first list in my Leica rep's region. You have to understand Leica's distribution pattern. They have sales regions (each with its own sales rep) dividing up the country, and generally on a new release, each region gets at least one. So while big NYC mail-order companies may have placed orders for 100 or 200, they may only get 5 out of the first shipment of 30, not the whole 30. The other 25 will go to other regions: LA, Seattle, Chicago, Mountain States, Georgia, Texas, Florida, etc. Within the regions the distribution is based on which orders came in first. Bo_Lorentzen Posted September 19, 2009 Share #15 Posted September 19, 2009 don't know Andy, Samy's told me they are not getting any in until next week. So I don't think the first ones hit evenly across each region.. (though those cameras might have landed in Monterey one might guess.) .

Bill W Posted September 22, 2009 Share #20 Posted September 22, 2009 I ordered before the announcement but not a peep since. My dealer is in NY and I have bought both my M8 and M8.2 from them...... Sure wanted it before I went to Colorado next week but my "old 8.2" will probably hold up for the trip...!!!:)
