JLV Posted September 3, 2009 Share #5 Posted September 3, 2009 Hi, I can't copy the image and paste it to have it under the eyes to translate it strictly but here is the information: After saying that Leica has always been searching for unrivalled IQ without the smallest compromise to quality, The official Leica shop in Paris announces that on the 9th of september 3pm Paris time The Leica users are invited to watch live the launching in NYC (9am) of a new camera body that every body is waiting for, that they will be abble to touch it too, that there will be champagne but maybe not for everybody and that people should come early, and that the shop is going to open exceptionnaly till 8pm (usually, it closes at 7). "Ce nouveau boitier tant attendu arrive le Mercredi 9 Septembre..." could refers to the FF RF that everyone is waiting for. Translation: "That new body so long attended will arrive on Wednesday 9 September..." Not just forums, but probably all the places where they will have live demo will 'erupt' like a volcano - creating a syncronished world wide riot in Leica dealers' stores. Leicaphiles have tolerated insults and teasing by the Canonikon brigade. This is their moment of glory and pay back time (in the same coin - $8000 !!! ). How would they swallow just a d-lux candy? Artz, I agree, it understates "the body evereybody is waiting for wich means the FF. Did anybody read the thread about the japanese leica site? We already know almost everything. The official announcement from Leica says "ground-breaking new products" ("bahnbrechende Produkte"). Of course, it still may mean one body and some lenses/accessories, but "bahnbrechende"?
