Advertisement Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 Hi thompsonkirk, Take a look here Surrounded by the City. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
eckart Posted May 31, 2009 Share #2 Posted May 31, 2009 Very interesting shot, Kirk. What I really like is the sitting man and the woman standing next to him looking out of the window.. I hope you don't mind, but don't you think, it would be a good idea to level this picture? All the best, Eckart
azzo Posted May 31, 2009 Share #3 Posted May 31, 2009 Kirk, This is fantastically seen and beautifully presented.
stuny Posted May 31, 2009 Share #4 Posted May 31, 2009 Kirk - Beautiful, and seemingly more than just the two layers of reality.
thompsonkirk Posted May 31, 2009 Author Share #5 Posted May 31, 2009 Thank you Eckart, Ivan, & Stuart, for commenting. Eckart, I hadn't thought of straightening it out, but I'll give it a try! K

vdb Posted June 1, 2009 Share #7 Posted June 1, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I like the way Stuart put it: "...layers of reality". Excellent!
Martin T-M Posted June 1, 2009 Share #8 Posted June 1, 2009 Kirk, I like it. I agree with Eckart about some levelling.

thompsonkirk Posted June 1, 2009 Author Share #10 Posted June 1, 2009 Thank you Virgil & Jeff for your comments. Eckart & Martin, in response to your suggestions I've made 2 different leveled/straightened versions. The first is simply rotated, leaving theperspective effect; & the second is 'perspective cropped,' like a view-camera picture. I wonder which of the three versions is more interesting? eckart Posted June 1, 2009 Share #11 Posted June 1, 2009 It is not easy to say, weather it was worth to do it or not, Kirk. I can't see a right or wrong, but yes, I prefer the last version. Thanks for trying it and all the best, Eckart
Martin T-M Posted June 1, 2009 Share #12 Posted June 1, 2009 Kirk, both are good in my opinion but my favourite is the last one too. Congrats for the skills.
allamande Posted June 1, 2009 Share #13 Posted June 1, 2009 Kirk, this is a very cleverly composed image. And either version has the same impact, IMO. Ece
