The local Eared Grebes and Horned Grebes have molted into their summer plumage:

Hey Doug I picked up a R8 don't own the digital back so got a question when you used film on the 280 or the 560mm what did you like to use 400 film speed ?

100 when I could, 400 otherwise (all photos: 280mm f/4 APO).

... shots from a kayak. I'd be scared stiff to take my DMR in case I dropped the thing in the soup!

 

I almost THREW it in the lake when I found that my loon photos (at 20') were overexposed because the mode switch got bumped from (m) to (a). The mode switch is getting a healthy dose of gaffer's tape.

Wow, great shots with film. I like Fuji pro 160c and there 400h I have film on order so hope to get out there and see what I can do. I'm sure the camera can do it, it's me that will have the trouble.
