hi all,

I shot my first film that I pushed this weekend, I ususally shoot at the rated speed or a bit under.

I shot it at 800 and developed an extra 50% (5,30 instead of 3,45) and the results are quite fine...not too much grain and still pretty good tones and sharpness.

Seems like its a pretty robust combination that gives a lot of flexibility.

Anyone who regluarly pushes Tri X , would love to know if there are any rules of thumb regarding development and extended times.

tx

during my time as press-pro we used hc 110 diluted 1+6

2 minutes for 400 asa

6 minutes for 1600 asa, all at 20 degr. celsius

and the grain gets finer, the more films you develop in the same solution. in one liter you can usually develop 10 films a 36 exp.

which lens are you pushing through? Would be interesting to see uneven lit, and high contrast contditions. The frames you are showing are pretty evenly lit and the film isnt having to cope with much. I am seeing nothing in the blacks, but Ive never loved Trix for this reason anyway. Interesting stuff. Thanks for posting. Will keep watching.
