stuny Posted March 18, 2009 Share #1 Posted March 18, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Those of you who have seen the NY pages of our site or seen my threads here through the years know of my admiration for the Chrysler Building. I had to be on a broadcasrt yesterday morning, and before my turn I looked out through the dirty window covered with inexpensive, glare reducing film on it and thought the light interesting. Pressing the lens against the glass reduced the impact of the dirt and film.

Bob Jackson Posted March 18, 2009 Share #4 Posted March 18, 2009 Stuart, One of my favorite buildings as well. I think this picture is terrific, great color and light. Nice trick with lens on the glass, I might even try that some time. Bob

alistair borland Posted March 19, 2009 Share #8 Posted March 19, 2009 Stuart, i'd love to see a close up of one of those gargoyles. Alistair.
stuny Posted March 19, 2009 Author Share #9 Posted March 19, 2009 Alistair - Thank you. Those "gargoyles" are actually modeled after the hood ornament of the 1933 Chrysler. Several floors below the corners are decorated with large metal things that are modeled after the 1933 Chrysler radiator cap.
