I meant that the St Walburga church in Brugge looks a bit the same. At least according to Google, but I may be wrong, I never was in Brugge yet.

Funny how the brick house behind the church is so uniquely Belgian and that this was the clue to narrow it down decisively.

:D "Glad to know it's your turn..." ... also a little running out of stock here.

But I hope I found a difficult one; I must admit I forgot the name so I could not post it in a long time, but found the name back.

Where is this, in what building:

This should shed some light on the mystery, another part of the interior:

Someone pleaded recently to keep this thread alive and I agreed. But if it's dead , it's dead. I really don't think I asked too much here, especially with the last photo.

Can we see how many subscribers this thread has?

sorry Otto ..... there are plenty of us that peek in frequently ..... it's just sometimes it is just too damn difficult so we give up and drift off till an easier one ... or more clues ........

if you have never been to the area then you are working on architectural or other background or oblique clues .... or some hints ..... and with these pics there were very little .....

any way after looking at more Catalan religious buildings than is good for my sanity on google .....

it is Santa Maria de Poblet Monastery

Ok, thighslapper. I have/had just the impression that 'in the old days' of this thread there were more 'Europalogists' /'Mediterraneanists' frequenting this thread and/or there were more frequent responses or wild guesses. I also realize that I'm in a bit of a paradox; I want to make it a bit difficult but then I cannot expect too fast an answer. And I remember pictures of some god forgotten highways or grasslands of the US that could have been anywhere, which I did not respond to either.

Most important thing however is: you are dead right, so the thread lives and don't feel sorry. Your turn!

This is a stitched panorama with less distortion ..... if you get the country/place then the location of where I am becomes obvious ......
