The area is a complicated interface of AFAIK technically (or nautically?) a strait, a sea, another strait and then a sea. You are right of course, the lovely little Älvsborgs fästning just out from Gothenburg Maybe you can help re the “seas”! AFAIK the fort is technically in the Kattegat (which is a sea) but joins the Skagerrak (which is a strait which joins the North Sea) and the Øresund which is the strait that separates Sweden and Denmark (familiar from Bron/Broen) and joins to the Baltic Sea.
