Knorp Posted December 2, 2008 Author Share #16 Posted December 2, 2008 The secret here is to know your local patch and where to look for emerging/hatching dragonflies., especially reeds are places to visit if dragonflies are around. If you look closely at the photo you may notice that the wings are still not fully stretched or completely unfolded. All it means is that you can get really close and take a frame filling photo of the subject. With the equipment used I don't think it's possible to get that close to a mature adult dragonfly .
