chouhsin Posted August 31, 2006 Share #81 Posted August 31, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just allow me to pose several stupid questions: If one uses Nikon camera, nikon lens, but Leica flash, is he qualified to joint the challenge? Even more wicked: if one use Panasonic Lumix camera, but a Leica battery.... I think the answers are NO. Hsin
Advertisement Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 Hi chouhsin, Take a look here The One Challenge 2006 - Paris. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
erl Posted September 1, 2006 Share #82 Posted September 1, 2006 Hsin, If you feel comfortable declaring the limited extent of your Leica gear used, speaking for myself, there is no real problem. I feel that your company on the day should be more important than your 'compliance'. Others may have different feelings and I certainly don't make or oversee the rules. OTOH, I suspect that there will be enough Leica gear 'spare' round the table if anyone needs to 'borrow' some qualifying equipment, just for the exercise. Cheers, Erl

octo Posted September 4, 2006 Share #86 Posted September 4, 2006 Sorry, I have been away for a while. Does this mean that the meeting place is now at Chez Edouard instead of the pub originally suggested by Steve?
robert_parker Posted September 4, 2006 Share #87 Posted September 4, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Philippe My understanding is that the meeting place and time are still the same, at Le Frog et Rosbif. Chez edouard relates to a meal afterwards for those interested.
earleygallery Posted September 6, 2006 Share #88 Posted September 6, 2006 Just allow me to pose several stupid questions: If one uses Nikon camera, nikon lens, but Leica flash, is he qualified to joint the challenge? Even more wicked: if one use Panasonic Lumix camera, but a Leica battery.... I think the answers are NO. Hsin No, using a Leica flash on another camera does not qualify as a 'Leica' image. Nor does using a Leica filter or wearing of a Leica baseball cap etc. You can use any Panasonic camera as long as it has a Leica lens. In a nutshell, camera and/or lens must be Leica. Hope that helps.
earleygallery Posted September 6, 2006 Share #89 Posted September 6, 2006 What time are people thinking of getting to the restuarant? I'd be interested in joining the post challenge dinner but I'm getting the train back to London in the evening so I'm not sure if I'll have enough time. If not I'll take in some more sightseeing/bars/shopping. Cheers

Flying in and out is a nightmare, either you come in too late or departure is too early and my time would be restricted to Saturday only.
