Advertisement Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Hi KM-25, Take a look here Noctilux f/0.95 ASPH promotion posters. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
marknorton Posted September 9, 2008 Share #22 Posted September 9, 2008 So, 60mm filter as for the current lens, seems to continue the styling changes we saw in the Summarits... Also, the black "red dot" previously mentioned for the M8.2 plus the new S position on the shutter speed dial for "snap-shot" mode... and the vulanite covering. KM-25 Posted September 9, 2008 Share #23 Posted September 9, 2008 NICE !!! The 50/0.95 ASPH ... but expensive What will happen with the prices of the 50/1.0 pre-ASPH Noctilux ? Going up, going down ? I was hoping this new lens was no more than $7,500 U.S. I think it is going to drive the current Nocti prices up. If I can find one for $4,000 used, I might just get it despite it not being a very practical lens. $11,000 U.S. for a 50mm is new ground for Leica. marknorton Posted September 9, 2008 Share #27 Posted September 9, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Keep in mind those prices will probably include VAT, divide by 1.19 to get the VAT exclusive price and then convert to USD. Still a lot though; here in the UK, the Noctilux will probably be something like £6499... Our only hope is for another 30% discount program after they find all the shutters in the new M8.2s have been installed back to front...

sdai Posted September 9, 2008 Share #32 Posted September 9, 2008 Who said that a 21/1.4 wasn't possible? Who said that Leica wasn't listening? These are exactly all the lenses forum members have been asking for.

mat_mcdermott Posted September 9, 2008 Share #37 Posted September 9, 2008 Those prices are insane ! I'm usually not one to bash Leica prices, they've always been expensive in comparison to everyone else, but if those prices are accurate they've really lost the thread in my mind. stunsworth Posted September 9, 2008 Share #39 Posted September 9, 2008 But they jumped the gun on an NDA they certainly have - if these are official announcements. I cannot believe they would..... But the way the magazines are printed early these days, it's probably the October edition, so no problem <grin>.
delander † Posted September 9, 2008 Share #40 Posted September 9, 2008 Mmm- I don't think I will buy any of that, a bit too much for me, even being a dentist , but I am sure that there are enough customers out there to keep Leica busy..... I can only wonder. I am not totally surprised at these prices, but I did hope they would not be quite so high. Leica must be very confident of their market. These wide aperture lenses must be quite big on the M8. It only requires another player in the DRF market to make these prices look silly. Surely if there is money to be made it must happen soon. But like you Jaap I dont think any of these will be for me. Up until now I have generally kept away from the self-coding of other makers lenses but these prices make the hassle worthwhile Jeff
