Advertisement Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 Hi andybarton, Take a look here Krakow - One Challenge 11 October 2008 details. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stunsworth Posted August 5, 2008 Share #22 Posted August 5, 2008 Someone in the office had just got back from a weekend in Krakow. The bad news was that the restaurant James suggested was closed for renovation - I'd given the peson the address of the place. The good news was that it was due to re-open this week. Hurrah! earleygallery Posted August 5, 2008 Share #23 Posted August 5, 2008 Phew! That could explain why I hadn't received a response to my e mail.
erl Posted August 5, 2008 Share #24 Posted August 5, 2008 The impression I have is that Krakow has more restaurants and bars per square metre than the rest of the world. I am sure, if the chosen restaurant is unable to function, we will not go short of a meal and a drink.
stunsworth Posted August 6, 2008 Share #25 Posted August 6, 2008 am sure, if the chosen restaurant is unable to function, we will not go short of a meal and a drink. There's at least one McDonalds that I'm aware of. We'd have to bring our own knives and forks of course, but I'm sure James could make a reservation. stunsworth Posted August 7, 2008 Share #27 Posted August 7, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Steve, you left off the smiley when referring to Mac....! I hope you are not serious! Erl, McDonalds have two main functions. Pouring cheap drinks at one end in a hot country, and pouring them out of the other end a later. Cold drinks and toilets in other words. erl Posted August 8, 2008 Share #28 Posted August 8, 2008 Yes Steve, but to get the "hat trick" you also need 'ambience!'
earleygallery Posted August 8, 2008 Share #29 Posted August 8, 2008 Actually I DID book McDonalds for us as I thought the other place was closed. We have our own area, complimentary toys, happy hats and maybe - just maybe - Ronald himself will pop by to say Howdy!

stunsworth Posted August 8, 2008 Share #31 Posted August 8, 2008 I can see Bill With his red nose and big shows now... Yes, so can I, but what's that got to do with McDonalds? Big shows? Is he going to give us 'Leica - The Musical'. That should be entertaining. Or 'Leitz on Ice'. Opening line 'Leitz, Sound, Action'.
andybarton Posted August 8, 2008 Author Share #32 Posted August 8, 2008 I was thinking more along the lines of custard down the trousers (I blame the daft keypad on the iPhone That should have read "shoes" of course...)

bill Posted August 18, 2008 Share #34 Posted August 18, 2008 A popular pastime in the home counties I'm led to believe. A "trifle" better than ferrets... I don't mind the custard, it's the hundreds and thousands that give me gyp. Regards, Bill

erl Posted August 24, 2008 Share #38 Posted August 24, 2008 just booked my stay at the 'elephant on the moon' looking forward, -tim- Should be a long walk to Krakow from there! I still have to book mine. Will do it in the next few days when I'm feeling better. Suffering the dreaded 'winter lurgi' at present, plus cracked ribs and a torn knee cartilage.
