Your wishes are like orders, Jan. So I rushed to my "things", opened the Heidoscop leather case (it's anything but handy!) and aimed my Leica. The answers to your questions, now : - "Sorry" was explained in Sorry 1, and is related to my inability to speak German as a fourth language (I do speak and write fluently French, English, Portuguese and Dutch),. - Serial of my Heidoscop is nº 44047, like evidenced by an image. - Photos of the custom's seal do not reveal its origin, and even not a possibility to orient properly the images. Jan Böttcher Posted January 7, 2019 Share #6170 Posted January 7, 2019 Thanks! A strange seal. And though I usually dislike serial number voodoo, this one is interesting, in November I saw a Rolleidoscop No 44027 on eBay. Cameras No 44004 and 44008 were Rolleidoscops as well. Picture stolen on eBay (please don't tell anybody): Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! Pecole Posted January 8, 2019 Share #6171 Posted January 8, 2019 Quite interesting! But I remember having been told that many Heidoscop were transformed to Rolleidoscop by Franke und Heidecke at customers' request. The process was relatively simple, since the back part of the camera was separated. That seems to be clearly the case of the eBay sample, whose "viewer" assembly is new. But I was a Leica collector, received these other cameras and never deepened my information about same.

But I was a Leica collector, received these other cameras and never deepened my information about same. Just the other day I showed some Heidoscops and Rolleidoscops starting here and continueing her Both Heidoscop and Rolleidoscop went through stages of developement, and they share finder, shutter and lenses. But the cast body and the front panel are different. So, the artist making the Rollsidoscop with the new finder used a Rolleidoscop body and a late Rolleidoscop front panel (with the hinge for the lens cap and fitting engraving) but "deletetd" the lens cap hinge and mounted it to a Heidoscop first series shutter board (with aperture control ring around the viewing lens). Your "lateish" Heidoscop with lens cap has a dial for the f-stops on top of the shutter board. Do try to cut some 120 Film to 13cm length and fix it to a plate holder and make some stereo pairs with your Heidoscop (or get a roll film back). Welcome, dear visitor! Trotzdem ist Hammerschlag natürlich cool.
