Lastly a 64gb Sony Tough card i had issues with on the M11 but it seems to work well on the MEV1 so far. All UHS2 cards.
mustafasoleiman Posted December 9 Author Share #4 Posted December 9 Thank everybody for the advice! Playing now with the new MEV1... Did not take into account how useful it can be when shooting very dark scenes... interesting... I had gotten it to use it with a 135 and 21mm but this might be a new use I did not think about! CDodkin Posted Saturday at 02:44 AM Share #7 Posted Saturday at 02:44 AM Advertisement (gone after registration) Delkin Black - I got tired of poor quality Sandisk and others which may have been fakes, as there are so many in the market. Delkin Black are pro grade, extra tough, and have a serial number to confirm they are genuine with the manufacturer. Also have a lifetime warranty, and speedy replacement should there be any issue. I won't use anything else now. I use their 128 Gb, UHS-II, C10, U3, V60 card.

I've used both 128GB and 256GB versions.
mustafasoleiman Posted Sunday at 12:56 PM Author Share #9 Posted Sunday at 12:56 PM I noticed that the M EV1 takes longer to show the evf active... Would that be affected by the speed of the SD card? If not is there a way to make the evf to turn on faster? The power saving mode is now set at Camera Standby 2 min, Display 1 min... Thanks for the help! lct Posted Sunday at 01:47 PM Share #10 Posted Sunday at 01:47 PM Default power saving mode here: Camera Standby 2 min, Display Standby 30 sec. Irrespective of cards, the EVF of my MEV1 takes about 2 sec to activate at startup and almost immediate at wakeup. I did no measure though.

By setting Camera Standby to 30 or 60 minutes, the camera is always ready after a half-press of the shutter.

Startup and wake-up times appear to be similar to mine while your camera remains in standby for longer. Interesting setting if battery drain is not an issue. Thank you for sharing. davidmknoble Posted 14 hours ago Share #17 Posted 14 hours ago If you have long standby modes, is anyone seeing the camera get warm? I used to find that with the M-10D and cut the time back. I would set it to never sleep.
mustafasoleiman Posted 14 hours ago Author Share #18 Posted 14 hours ago At 30 min camera standby it has drained to 80% by the end of the morning... maybe ten pictures taken...

SrMi Posted 10 hours ago Share #20 Posted 10 hours ago (edited) With Leica FOTOS off, Camera Standby 30 minutes, Display Standby 30 seconds, the camera used about 10% of the battery in those 30 minutes. In my use case, 30 minutes of standby is mainly to safeguard from forgetting to turn off the camera, but when I am not using it, I turn it off with the power switch. It is very rare for the camera to stay in standby for 30 minutes. However, I want the camera to be ready when I need it, so I do not want it to go to standby by itself.
