baxterbradford Posted 8 hours ago Share #21 Posted 8 hours ago Advertisement (gone after registration) Has anyone tried using the new WB adjustment and if so what are the ballpark figures to reduce the magenta? From the release notes it says it will affect all of the presets including Auto. So one adjustment fits all... Do we know if these values are then imported into Capture One or other RAW software using the 'as shot' WB setting? If not, then there seems to be very little point in going through a calibration process! I was thinking of using a colorchecker card with camera outside in middle of the day(ish) on a tripod with daylight setting to make a start.
Advertisement Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Hi baxterbradford, Take a look here New Leica M11 Firmware v.2.6.0 (M11 / M11-P / M11-D / M11 Monochrom). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
don daniel Posted 7 hours ago Share #22 Posted 7 hours ago Make 15 clicks from magenta towards green and 5 clicks from blue to yellow. Magenta cast is gone then. 4

Thanks Don, very helpful and quick! What about importing files and whether the software reads the alteration in RAW files? I don't use jpg.
baxterbradford Posted 7 hours ago Share #24 Posted 7 hours ago (edited) With some stable light outside, I took the opportunity to make Don's recommended adjustments. Having imported to the computer, these apply the same correction to Magenta tint that I normally make in Capture One. The new settings read across perfectly with the 'as shot' WB setting. I'll leave it set like this for a while and see whether I think any refinement might be needed. Edited 7 hours ago by baxterbradford
maxpower Posted 7 hours ago Share #25 Posted 7 hours ago (edited) I do wish it was possible to see the tint values in FOTOS as you adjust them, the click counting works in-camera but in FOTOS it feels a bit more finicky (even with the haptic feedback) and it would be nice to set my M11-D and P to the same values. edit: just in case anyone is curious, what I did now was configure the white balance on M11-P, then open FOTOS with the M11-P and take a screenshot of the slider positions. Then connect the M11-D and go back and forth between screenshot and the settings display to make sure they are at the same spot. pedaes Posted 6 hours ago Share #26 Posted 6 hours ago FWIW. On my M11-P and LrC the out of camera DNG file WB (Daylight) showed +21 Magenta. Dialling in 15 'clicks' of in-camera adjustment gives an ooc LrC figure of +10, which is what I used to pull it back to. Happy days!
