TDog Posted April 27 Share #1 Posted April 27 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just an observation. MPB price drop on the OG m11 clearly worked. They look like they sold out!! It won’t let me paste a link here annoyingly; idk why.

LocalHero1953 Posted April 27 Share #4 Posted April 27 Own Goal. It's a comment on Leica and the M11.
LocalHero1953 Posted April 27 Share #5 Posted April 27 But really: 'OriGinal' (And no, this abbreviation, though common, makes no sense to me either!)
costa43 Posted April 27 Share #6 Posted April 27 (edited) OG in this context means original but it stands for Original Gangsta. A common term used among US gang members. I watched too many gangster films in my childhood. I grew up wanting to be an OG but thankfully that desire went away. TDog Posted April 27 Author Share #7 Posted April 27 Advertisement (gone after registration) Yeah tbf I wasn’t comfortable with the abbreviation when I typed it. Good it got some traction to my otherwise boring post but yeah I thought £5k was a damn good price for an M11, I paid £5500 for mine and thought that was a steal. It’s an amazing bit of kit with stunning IQ, I know ppl bash it, but I’ve only owned it since a week before the last firmware update so it’s not been problematic thankfully. Paired with a summilux FLE I can’t see how it’d improve.

You will probably see a number of M11s back up for sale when the EVF model is released. 3

Yeah very true; my eyesight isn’t great but I love the organic nature of looking through glass and wouldn’t trade… a lot will not feel the same as me though I’m sure. And I did really enjoy the OVF/EVF of the Fuji x100 series which I’m guessing is what they will probably emulate and improve upon.

I would definitely not trade but...I might own both if they nail it!

Which one is the OG (we use OP here) talking about? Well, as he mentioned £5000, I think we can reasonably assume the Brighton UK one.

I don't know how many times I've had to resort to a 'google' when people have used Three- or Four-Letter-Acronyms (etcetera) but I know that it's been often. As far as I knew 'OG' stood for 'Own Goal' which clearly didn't make too much sense as used in the OP... Philip. 1

pop Posted April 28 Share #18 Posted April 28 If u wnt 2b undrstd, u might consider using fwr abbrevs and acronyms. OTOH if it doesn't matter if we can read it, why write it at all?
