Does a discontinued M11 indicate an upgrade of sorts to the rangefinder model, or just to make room for the EVF version? I am sure that Leica will never see an EVF M as a replacement of the OVF one.

BH just isn’t carrying anymore. 1
jaapv Posted April 5 Share #23 Posted April 5 Why don’t they say “ out of stock” instead of “ discontinued “ then?
Photoworks Posted April 5 Share #24 Posted April 5 aren't all the EDITION's from M11 bodies?
Guest Posted April 5 Share #25 Posted April 5 In the UK the M11 still available to order online (shipped from Germany) and available in-store at the Leica stores. "The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated"

jaapv Posted April 5 Share #29 Posted April 5 Well, a non-existent camera cannot have issues. 1

Haven't experienced a freeze in weeks (months?) on either M11 or M11M. It used to be an almost daily occurrence. The latest FW appears to have fixed this.
DadDadDaddyo Posted April 5 Share #31 Posted April 5 Hear that? That's another overjoyed Nearly-New-M11 owner, getting a bargain, because "everyone knows M11s freeze..."

If an M12 freezes in the woods and there's no one there to hear it, will its owner make cussing noises? Edited April 5 by Herr Barnack
LeicaGuyUK Posted April 5 Share #34 Posted April 5 Not one freeze for me, it’s been solid (regular black M11)
brickftl Posted April 5 Share #35 Posted April 5 at this point with the latest firmware update, not seeing any reports of continuing freezes and excellent M11 prices, I'd wade back into that pool but for waiting to see what new cam is introduced. For now I can make do with my CL coupled with my M11M that I dearly love
bcaslis Posted April 5 Share #36 Posted April 5 I have not had any freezes since 1.6.1. I did have photos corrupted in 2.0, but that was fixed also.

Leicaflex Posted April 9 Share #40 Posted April 9 Wow, that‘s a surprise. Seems to be correct, that the base M11 is discontinued. There is a post on the phoblographer with a official Leica statement. https://www.thephoblographer.com/2025/04/08/the-real-reason-behind-the-leica-m11s-discontinuation/
