They are a pro dealer and not a normal retail shop. They are good to deal with on my experience.

To be precise, Red Dot is:

As I said

Ok, but you also said 'more geared to selling to pros'. I don't see that.

The London delivery service is for ANY customer, not just 'pros' as you stated.

Red Dot are an authorised 3rd party Leica dealer. I’ve been to the shop a couple of times when I’m in London and the staff are very friendly and chatty. They also have some cool old stuff on display in a ‘museum’ section. I think their target market is anyone who wants Leica gear. Surprised that Mayfair do not have an event though.

Yeah, that's the bit I find confusing. Unless they've done it as an invite only for a select few VIP customers. I'm on their mailing list so they usually spam me with stuff I don't want/need but haven't received anything. Probably need to shop more often there :D I hope they don't want to become Rolex (but let's not go there, this is a camera forum).

Need to go to Regent street anyway this weekend so might visit Mayfair store while I'm around there.

It is a look at the light of the scene to be able to estimate the f/stop.

M-lenses cannot tell the used f/stop to the camera.

+1 about the (round) brightness sensor but what about the (rectangular) rangefinder window?

Looking at the product page, I don't see anything groundbreaking - zoom, peaking and that's it. Am I missing something? From what I've seen in videos, this pretty much is Q with M mount. No idea what RF window is for. Frame selector is for crop selection.

Just my impression - it doesn't really matter.

£6840 in the UK :D  delivery 2-3 days. So what we have is Q with M mount for more than Q. Speechless

Yup, that just about sums it up.  Add a 28mm or 35mm lens (not easy taking photos without a lens) and it’s more than double the price of the Q, and no little auto focus helper for those failing eyes.
