nothing new, just interesting that someone is posting it

I still hope that the picture is just a mockup. The only good thing about this design is that it would be very easy to stick a fake viewfinder window on it. 😉

I hope the information with internal memory(64 GB) is wrong. The technical specs should be minimum the same as M 11-P so 256 GB. If not, we can assume that Leica have a lot of old parts in stock that now need to be installed.

That is old news. It was posted on Reddit 22 days ago and discussed in this thread as well, IIRC. The text at the bottom of the image (cut off in the post above) indicates that the image is not from a real camera.

Certain:

That photo is not the real M11V.

the M11V has no ISO dial, and no rangefinder window, so the top plate will be rounded, and not have a “corner” to accommodate the rangefinder.

The EVF and diopter adjustment are exactly the same as the Q3,

No tilting screen.

The Leica red dot logo will be above the m mount, not on the top right corner like the Q3.

It is only available in black.

The dimensions are same as the M11, not the Q3.

It has the button layout of an M11.

It uses Q3 28 leatherette.

Marketed and priced as an entry point to the M system, and for using ultrawides, the promotional postered will feature the Summilux 21.

Not certain:

Texture/ finish will be similar to the Q3/ SL3, not the scratch resistant black paint of the M11.

No video functionality.

The product name maybe M11-E

According to Nathan Kellum-Pathe, Trade Marketing & Product Communications Manager, Leica Camera Inc., the reason for this lies in the shelf life of the camera. As he told us:

The Leica M11 camera continues to be the tool of choice for creatives around the world, thanks to its innovative design and unique photographic experience. Although some of the Leica M11 variants, such as the original black and silver models, have been phased out in alignment with the lifecycle of these cameras, new variants have been introduced, with the Leica M11 Glossy Black Paint, Leica M11-P cameras, Leica M11 Monochrom and Leica M11-D cameras. We look forward to pushing the boundaries of the Leica M11 camera system further with new ideas and state-of-the-art innovations, to provide visual artists with an even greater diversity of creative options.

An odd discussion by thephoblographer. The M11-P is just an upgrade to the M11, like the M10-P. Just like software, you don't keep selling the old version after the upgrade, other than to clear stock (not really relevant for downloadable software these days). Of course the M11 is discontinued; what did they expect?

My original post was supposed to refer to the one with the alleged spec. from the HK dealer. This was not a reply to your post at all.

I apologise if I inadvertently gave that impression.

Ha... Let me guess... the source is just a patchwork of speculation gathered from rumor sites — wild guesses, recycled “almost certainties,” and things assumed to come from people “in the know”… who are just guessing too. But then again, that’s part of the fun — the real value of posts like this (and this one too) is that they keep us entertained while we wait… patiently… before the real fun begins, and we all get to downplay the actual product once it’s finally released.

A patchfork of speculation is not labeled as "Certain:", though I suspect it is all based on rumors.
