Today I went out for a walk (2.5h) in the woods. The lens is big and heavy, but having the original zooms, not something I am not used to. However, due to its dials it’s less nicer to hold when hanging from the shoulder. Normally, while walking, I carry the SL on my right shoulder, holding the lens with my right hand, so it doesn’t bang around. The zooms work great for this, the t/s lens less.

I took some images, just for testing and will post later. Regarding usage, following I noticed:

1. The ring for aperture is easily moved. I wanted to photograph today only at 2.8, but several times the ring moved. Not a problem, but one needs to check.

2. The lock dial from the tilt, is in the way while holding the camera, see photo. Sometimes it was unpleasant, but I do understand the dials are needed. This is on the SL2s. The SL3 might be different ofcourse.

3. contrary to the above, I find the dials a tit too small. The feel cheap, and I hope they won’t break. The same for both pins which make the lens rotate.

4. when putting the camera down, it is resting on a dial, so you need to rotate the lens. Not a problem, just a habit.

5. The part where the tripodmount is fitted, can rotate and show degrees. A nice detail.

All the above are minor things, and would not stop me using the lens. Ofcourse I still need to see its performance, but handling aint a show stopper.

You mean that you put S-Lenses on the mount?

Anyway it's great to have this mount.

I was looking forward that someone produces this mount.

Thanxs for sharing.

Sorry; I meant to write "TS-adapter", not "S-adapter".

Looks like the Kipon adapter is on the way (from Kipon on FB).
