The reset is described in the manual, but saving settings to apply them after the reset does not exist – you'll have to configure them again.

Thanks for un-stupiding me !

It should not be normal practice that one has to reset to factory settings after each firmware update. I rarely did and had never issues. With the M11-D it seems to have caused some changes to settings. See my earlier post.

The M11-D comes from the factory at the lower GHz setting. Resetting the camera allows it to change to 5 GHz. You may need a second reset.

Mine was at 5 GHz out of factory. But after connecting to the phone changed to 2.4. I did a reset. It changed back to 5. Now after the firmware update the texted for the Content Credentials disappeared and the 5 switched to 2.4 again.

I don't usually reset my camera after an upgrade either if I'm honest, hasn't been a problem for me so far even though I do think it probably is cleaner to do, I'm just too lazy. But I just checked and my M11-D stayed on 5ghz and content credentials stayed the same as well, so interesting that that didn't happen for you. For what it's worth I've done the upgrade via SD, not sure if that makes any difference, it shouldn't you would think..

Luckily the M11-D doesn't have that many settings so even after a factory reset it should be pretty quick to get back to your preferences, as long as you remember what you changed.

If it started at 5, it would only change to 2 if it needed to for your phone. In any case, try resetting one more time.

For me there was nothing wrong with 2.1.2

This version 2.1.3 only contains bug fixes (again). Hopefully some of you will benefit from this.

But when will we get some 'exciting', useful new features?

M12 ?

2.1.4 is rumored to add Otto Focus where you are able manually focus much easier on anyone named “Otto”.

What ‘exciting’ features are you wanting?

Anything will do: let them just surprise us (for once) ... :P

Remember lessons learned from the M10-D, there were no firmware upgrades at all, no feature or function upgrades at all, and I'd warrant there's no reason to expect that it will be any different with the M11-D either. What we have is what we've got.

What would you improve? I have an MD and - with all respect - what can be improved?  Update for new 6 bit lenses ? Yes - But that's it.

Otherwise, there isn't much...

It's like the whole idea with the D model.

It will be different with the new M11_D - I think - because it depends on the Photo app.

Of course, errors must be corrected on the M11D as on the M11P etc

But I would expect Leica to do that, of course.

Please remind me, which Auto ISO issue is not solved?

In Auto ISO mode, the camera is 1/3 stop higher. if I set the minimum shutter speed to 1/250 the camera will take 1/320 ,even if the ISO is higher than the base ISO.
For example, if you set the shutter speed limit to 1/60, it will take 1/80, 1/125 will take 1/160, 1/250 will take 1/320, etc. The slowest shutter speed is always 1/3 stop higher than the selected one.
Camera resseting does not help.

Depends on the light, aperture and max iso. The camera can choose much slower shutter speeds than 1/250s if you shoot indoor at f/8 for instance, say 1/60s for max 6400 iso.

For example, automatic ISO settings: Max ISO 3200, Shutter speed limit 1/250. Camera in the range from 64 to 3200 ISO, exposure time constant 1/320, do you think this is normal?
