Official price in Europe is 6750 €, better than I expected.

The 28 is €6250 on the continent, am I right? It's £5550 as standard here, so about £300 more, so I suppose we could be looking at £5950/£5999 for the 43 in the UK (€6750 = £5630, then tack on an extra £300 again).

That’s right. My dealer already let me play with it a little, but have to wait till 15:00 to be able to walk out the door with it 🫠 The grey color isn’t bad at all, quite a bit darker than the leaked images.

i've had a Sony A7R3  It's the worst camera I've ever owned, you'd need a pilot's license to drive it .... compared to Leica's beautiful simplicity - it's a horror.

Looks like they let me drive it without a licence then. I thoroughly enjoyed using that cam. Absolutely no issues locking up or anything. Just set the camera once and off you go. The colour rendition is beautiful. The only reason I sold (and shouldn't have) is I needed a lighter camera due to physical constraints.

Leica FOTOS app is already updated to support the Q43 camera and new Chrome Look

Not in my copy of Fotos. I still have V. 4.7.1. No Q3.43 or Chrome look in Leica Looks. I don't know if they update by country, as I am currently in France. No apps pending update shown in App Store either. Fotos last updated 17 September for the M11D and cable connection.

I looked for the technical lens data on Leica’s website but could not find anything. The only for me interesting technical information I could find is in “macro” mode the maximum magnification is 1:4, even slightly less than the 28mm. Definitely an issue for me (not expecting a real macro) but not even sufficient to do wildflowers. One could always add a closeup lens (with the hood removed) but that is not exactly a convenient if one likes to make close ups more than occasionally
