Advertisement Posted August 1, 2024 Posted August 1, 2024 Hi Knorp, Take a look here M11 firmware v2.1.2. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Guest Posted August 1, 2024 Share #2 Posted August 1, 2024 Just upgraded via Fotos on my day old M11-P. Upgrade completed successfully but took a good few minutes. Progress bar didn't seem to work properly, which made me think it had crashed, but all was well.
Knorp Posted August 1, 2024 Author Share #3 Posted August 1, 2024 (edited) Take note of the note ... Note • It is recommended to revert to factory settings after an update. • Date & time, as well as the preferred language will have to be set up again after a reset. Relevant prompts will appear on screen. Edited August 1, 2024 by Knorp

I'll keep an eye on it and report back when it dies on me 😉

Knorp Posted August 1, 2024 Author Share #9 Posted August 1, 2024 For those who can't be bothered with the release notes. ERROR CORRECTION The improvement of our firmware is an ongoing process. The current update contains important bugfixes and improvements of the stability of the firmware: • Sporadic system errors during lens changes • Sporadic system errors during single frame shooting • Sporadic system errors during continuous shooting in combination with CAI (content credentials) Known errors • The camera activation process may delay in rare instances. Important Information regarding memory card use • In rare cases, the use of UHS-I SD may result in some technical issues. An optimization for these SD cards is planned for a later firmware update. Leica recommends using UHS-II cards to generally avoid these issues, and to guarantee the best possible performance for your camera.

VJPGG Posted August 1, 2024 Share #14 Posted August 1, 2024 Updated. Camera reset. Seem to be fine... but I can´t change the file root name. Before I choose to be "M11", and now it is "L11". I´m the only one with this behavior?

goodbokeh Posted August 1, 2024 Share #18 Posted August 1, 2024 I updated my M11-P #589 series using the SD card method. I understand the Fotos App update process works fine. But a past experience with the Fuji phone app updating my GFX 100S has me using the SD card process for now. I saved my user profile on the SD card, since it was offered, even though the release notes recommend starting fresh with a factory reset (old boilerplate instruction?). The update went pretty fast, just a couple minutes. When done the red light stopped flashing and the camera turned off but it did not restart on its own. I waited a minute then turned the switch off then back on again and it started right up. Everything looks just like before (including the photo file name I have), so my profile was reinstalled correctly and the firmware reads 2.1.2. The initial tests look good so far.
Smogg Posted August 1, 2024 Share #19 Posted August 1, 2024 Updated both my cameras (M11, M11-P) via Leica FOTOS without any problems. Did a full reset and recreated profiles
