Recently designed easier way of making Leica M10 decals - by involving precisely 3D printed stencils.

Once printed stencil is used to draw and later cut decal from adhesive vinyl film. I used to mark and cut decals in the past by first transferring plate contours using thin paper and pencil. One of the most challenging part is to make accurate radial cuts with compass-like radial cutter. 3D printed stencils have dedicated dots for radial cutter needle making it much easier.

Applying vinyl decal to the camera is requiring some practicing for better accuracy. Film is effectively protecting Black Chrome coating from scratches and paint wear. I personally like the aging wear of camera edges, so decals size is designed to keep edges open.
