Done.  Big caveats though.  My main camera is an A1 so I answered according to my usage with it.

I never use continuous focus with my Q2 nor is eye/face detect important to me.  Same with continuous shooting.

Unsure the information gathered is going to be very useful to Leica imo.  Different tools for different jobs.  I really don't imagine anyone shoots a Leica if AF is their top priority.  :)

The survey is not for Leica.

Anyone think a questionnaire isn't really needed? I've been using the camera since August, autofocus is okay but not great. Every area needs to be improved to be brought closer to "standard" autofocus qualities in a basic camera IMO. I'm not one of those people who expect Sony A1 performance, but definitely performance at least in line with a $500 Canon R50. Not sure what the issue is. The most infuriating issue I have is trying to autofocus at night in a scene where bright lights exist like a bridge or cityscape. The camera hunts and hunts, yet it can focus perfectly in near dark conditions with almost no available light. The algorithm doesn't seem to like bright lights next to dark areas, it prefers dark with no lights, so odd.

Spot on, it'd be remiss if the engineers at Leica are not aware of the poor focusing performance at this point. The Q3's focusing capabilities should rival if not better than the SL3 since they will only need to optimize it for a single lens. The SL3 shares the same processor as the Q3 with better focusing performance, I wonder if that will eventually transfer over to the Q3.

I read it as not being *from/by* Leica but by a Leica employee.  My assumption is that it would eventually be presented to Leica.

I believe it’s for a Masters Degree thesis.

Finally someone who got it 😇

When i was still working i had some students, who were working in the company and writing the masters thesis.

These were 30 to 40 page documents, the number of pages was given as a threshhold from the prof.

You cant go to deep with this limit, these are not diplom oder doctor works, where someone could go as deep as some people expect it here.

Done.

Despite all the methodological critics here and the attempts to tell Katharina what had to be done
and
even if it follows some kind of a marketing agenda:

It was a good opportunity to address the priorities of photographers using AF with a Leica for the firmware development department of the company.

Thanks for that.

er.... Body Image Stabilisation? The same as IBIS?

Thanks, Paul!  Yes, I also would know IBIS.

Confusing to me because BIS might also be Built-In-Stabilization, which could refer to body or lens.
