Leica M lenses with near focus and infinity

Hi, 

to everybody that does portraits with m lenses and wants to get closer to the subject/model 

thsi adapter will ad this functionality:

I know there is one from light lens lab, but they struggle to deliver.

Hi, no 

but I know that the 7Artisan does not go to infinity. 
And DLX does. No problem. 
I can only recommend it.

My 7artisan copy allows to focus all the way from reduced MFD to infinity together with the focus ring of the lens. This on both FF and crop L-mount cameras.  I guess i will keep the 7artisan then. Thanks again anyway.

7Artisan works just fine unless you have a defective one. Made in China quality! Not that fotodiox is any better, some of them are terrible.
Every M-L adapter should go past infinity

On the website for the DLX adapter, the manufacturer states:

* Hinweis – NICHT MIT L-MOUNT-KAMERAS DER MARKE LEICA VERWENDEN.

which translates to english as:

* Note - DO NOT USE WITH LEICA BRAND L-MOUNT CAMERAS.

 

My question is, do you know why? And have you experienced any adverse effects using it on your Leica SL camera?

I have contacted the lumiere shop and the owner will get into contact with fotodiox. 
he is currently on the road, but expect me to report next week.
