I too am sorry to hear this.

We met Ben, and you, with Stuart and Barbara, on our first visit to New York in 2012 and enjoyed the view from the top of the Empire State as day turned to night and a good dinner in a restaurant below. An unforgettable day.

RIP Ben.

So sorry to hear this. Ben was a real gentleman and incredibly generous in sharing his knowledge. Had quite a few discussions with him about using the exact set up in your picture JimofNYC, the Leica R lenses on the Nikon DSLR bodies. He will be missed.

RIP Sir.

Best, -Tim

I met Ben in 2009, I remember he asked me how I liked the city. When I listed the museums and concert halls I had visited so far, he suggested to spend more time on the streets to actually experience the city and its people. Which I did then. This could have had some permanent impact on my travel style.

May he rest in peace

I, too, had many pleasant and informative discussions with Ben here over the years and it was a regret that I didn't get to meet him in person when I visited New York.  So sad to hear of his Alzheimers that must have robbed him of wonderful memories, time, and quality of life.

May you rest in peace, Ben.

Pete.
