chris_tribble Posted March 26, 2024 Share #1 Posted March 26, 2024 Advertisement (gone after registration) I’ve recently dug out my M6 TTL after getting on for 20 years of neglect, popped a battery in and cocked the shutter and checked metering and all seems well. I’m tempted to put a film through it, but don’t have any developing kit and don’t feel like buying at present. Does any one know a good lab for black and white? PROCESSING ONLY. I’ve still got my Nikon LS 4000 (recently serviced) so will scan myself if all goes well. I’d be grateful for any recommendations (also for film suppliers - Tri-x or FP4. I regret the passing of Neopan 400)…

Anbaric Posted March 27, 2024 Share #2 Posted March 27, 2024 (edited) You could try Filmdev: https://filmdev.co.uk/ or Harman Lab: https://harmanlab.com/ For film I like Process Supplies in London: https://www.processuk.net/ or Mathers: https://www.mathersoflancashire.co.uk Edited March 27, 2024 by Anbaric
Graham (G4FUJ) Posted March 27, 2024 Share #3 Posted March 27, 2024 (edited) I use The Darkroom in Cheltenham https://www.the-darkroom.co.uk/ As for film supplies, there are plenty of suppliers out there - a quick web search will find them. Analogue Wonderland is just one: https://analoguewonderland.co.uk/ Enjoy using your M6 again Edited March 27, 2024 by Graham (G4FUJ) typo(s)

Antonio C Posted March 27, 2024 Share #9 Posted March 27, 2024 I’m pretty happy with ag-photolab, as previously linked. Traditional BW dev comes at 5.5£, C41 a quid less if I’m not wrong. You pay for return postage, they’ll provide a mailer for sending in your next order. I honestly cannot complain about their quality, communication is good, if there’s no overload they’ll process and ship back on the day they receive your stuff. So far so good.
nf3996 Posted March 29, 2024 Share #10 Posted March 29, 2024 I've had consistently good B&W processing (plus a traditional contact sheet) from Karl Howard in Hemel Hempstead. He's actually a wedding photographer, but regularly advertises his film processing services at the back of Amateur Photographer magazine.
