andybarton Posted March 13 Share #2 Posted March 13 Horribly stressful road that, though. Once is enough. 🙂
Gibbo Posted March 13 Author Share #3 Posted March 13 I love it. I used to drive through it as quickly as I possibly could (when my parents were not watching!). Pretending to be a rally driver! Quite a driving challenge which I preferred to do in my Sud with front wheel drive.

Souvenir, souvenir...the Sud, not the road I have never driven through...I got two Ti's and a sprint in the 80's. I loved them. andybarton Posted March 13 Share #6 Posted March 13 I always found that there was a loon in an Alfa Sud coming the other way… 😊 I walked up to the Roman fort about 18 months ago (July), and the amount of traffic coming down off the top means that larking around like Paddy Hopkirk is no longer an option. 1

Graham (G4FUJ) Posted March 14 Share #8 Posted March 14 Not driven the pass in an Alfa, but a couple of Land Rover products and two Morgans (oh and a Rover 214 when our planned holiday trip by m/cycle to Ireland failed) Love the road, but preferably out of holiday season
Stephen_C Posted March 15 Share #9 Posted March 15 Rode two-up from the youth hostel on a Honda 400-4, with paniers, many years ago—causing an inadvertent wheelie on one of the steeper sections. 😀 Stephen 1
