Looks like there is some inventory.  I was able to order a SL3 Saturday using Hotstock to get a notification and I just got a call from one of the Leica stores whose waiting list I got on back in March.  Good luck to all!

I can second using the Hotstock app.  It's very easy to use.  I dowloaded and saw SL3 availability pop up every other day.  Always from Leica USA.  I finally was quick enough on the draw and mine arrived a week ago.

I ordered on launch day from a local dealer in Finland. I was quietly confident I would have the camera in time for a trip to Scotland next month but now I start to doubt it. Hopefully some batches coming out soon to third-party retailers!

Aloha. Happy to inform that my SL3 is on the way! It should arrive tomorrow from Leica Store San Francisco. As others have suggested earlier in this post, I encourage you to get on multiple wait lists at the various Leica stores— especially if no dealer / boutique is near to you. I preordered from Leica Miami the morning the SL3 was released. Then about three weeks later I called San Francisco to be put on their waitlist. Leica San Francisco came through first and now I will be able to use the new camera and evaluate whether or not I want/need another one while I wait for another Leica store to call.

Installed Hotstock last Thursday and saw that I missed out earlier that morning by an hour or so on Leica USA.  Thinking it would be forever for next shot I happened to have phone next to me Saturday morning and was able to grab one which arrived today!  It sold out in about 2 minutes total from first notification on the app.  I have gotten notifications on the 6, 7, and 8th.  So get the app and be ready.  Before that I had gotten on every Leica store list in the U.S. the last week of March and only got a call from one of them the Monday after I placed the order on Leica USA on Saturday morning.

I see Popflash has both the SL3 in stock and even a demo for sale.  Its a long time authorized Leica seller in California.  r/ Mark

Just put the camera on 30 second standby.  The camera turns on so quickly there's really no need for it to be on for more than that.

Always go for the trusted dealer! Doing the same thing here. Nothing more valuable than good service when you really need it!

SL3 was in stock as of this morning, 2024-May-30th, on Leica's USA website (https://leicacamerausa.com/leica-sl3.html) And get this: It's still showing up as in-stock, and it's well into the evening now as I write this. Is this the first time the camera has been in-stock all day? It seems like good news in terms of availability.

My SL3 purchase from B&H is still on "backorder," and hasn't shipped yet (no news on that front). But the fact that the SL3 was in-stock somewhere, all day (and hasn't sold out within a few minutes), could be a sign that maybe we're approaching the end of the availability hump.

Then this afternoon I randomly went to leicacamerausa.com and it’s in stock.  I could not resist… I clicked the order button.  I’m still half expecting them to tell me it’s on back order…

I got an email from Leica London last night saying they have one going and would I be interested. You bet! Should get it tomorrow. Was on the fence because I love my SL2s but I have a trip to Yosemite next month and caved!

Checked the website of Samy's Camera in LA this morning, website said it was in stock.  Ordered by phone, should be in Houston Monday.

I read somewhere historically for Leica products it takes about six months before stores have a supply that don't sell out right away.
