Getting my SL3 today and need some advice on lens selection. Departing between the Leica 24-70 as an all rounder travel lens or just get the prime Summicron 35 which would be lighter, any benefits or suggestions?

Also for zoom get the Panasonic 70-200 or just go for the 100-400 for the range, Panasonic seems to have come out with a lighter smaller zoom lens also, what is the best zoom to get for wildlife photography if not getting the leica lens due to price.

the Leica 35 is the same as the Panasonic ($600) . Quick focus and lighter, and all-around good lens. Leica offers an apo version that is amazing in resolution, but larger, heavy and expensive.

this is the Leica/pana 35 on SL3

Leica 24-70 is similar to Sigma 24-70
good performer, the only issue I have is that it collects dust in the lens over time.

I can't speak for the longer lenses, I have the leica version, and used 70-200 2.8 a few time, but I don't usually have the need for long.

That looks like a fashionable lens to me. Enjoy.
