But two things, most people buy BP because it wears to the brass, and second the modern BP is a tough powder coating process so wear isn’t going to happen soon. adamwarmington Posted February 12, 2024 Author Share #3  Posted February 12, 2024 Thanks yeah well aware of the brassing. But don't want needless marks from metal on metal. Not gonna tape it - there are plenty of options with little leather tabs where the strap meets the camera. Just looking for inspiration is all

250swb Posted February 17, 2024 Share #10  Posted February 17, 2024 I've got a couple leather straps from this guy on eBay and there are a good choice of lengths and colours https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/324772679576?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=yzHueVwqTRm&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=fGJNE44AQGu&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY I have a couple of Peak Design camera straps but I'm gradually adapting all my leather camera straps to the Peak Design quick release anchor links because I often want to take the strap off when the camera is on a tripod or change to a wrist strap. With the quick release system you could get away with just one strap for all your cameras https://uk.peakdesign.com/collections/straps/products/anchor-links

jayantony Posted February 21, 2024 Share #15  Posted February 21, 2024 This strap comes with little leather O-rings to protect the paint. Simple and effective. Plus the leather half case achieves the same result. I'm strap obsessed and have several but this one keeps finding its way back on my camera. I think it rather handsome! Esleepy Posted February 27, 2024 Share #18  Posted February 27, 2024 I have this strap in black paired with a couple leather ring protectors on my BP MP. It looks great with the brass hardware and quickly became my favorite strap.
colint544 Posted February 28, 2024 Share #19  Posted February 28, 2024 (edited) I hate to be any kind of voice of negativity, but I had a Gordy's neckstrap on my M9 Monochrom, back in 2014. Good quality leather, but it failed at one end with the strap over my shoulder. My reactions weren't fast enough, and the camera hit the floor. It was a wooden floor, and luckily the camera was OK on that occasion. When I examined the strap I could see that under the binding, it was just a single staple holding the two ends together, and the staple had lost its integrity. I contacted Gordy's, they were very apologetic and immediately sent me a replacement strap. But my trust had gone by that point. That was ten years ago, and very possibly they make them a different way now. I suspect that I was also just very unlucky.
