One of the few “real” street shots besides my street portraits that I'm rather happy with. Pretty much reacted on instinct, saw the scene, raised the camera and click.

Thanks for the continued support of this photo! Glad you like it, I think this is by far my most successful image on here.
After a while I think I could have just moved a bit to the side to the door from the front, but I guess that's street for you. Take the shot like you see it, so that you get the image in any case. And afterwards try a second, optimized shot. Which I sadly didn't do. Well, learning is fun 😀

I think it's excellent as it is. We can all second guess our shots and come up with a way we might have improved them, but often your first attempt ends up being the best. That's the one where your artistic instincts took priority over your rational thought process. Overthinking can be detrimental to image making.
