Bad experience trying to buy Overgaard's Magnum strap

Seriously, who would buy from Overgaard with all these sh**y reports?

Regarding the strap, I also find the Peak Design strap very comfortable, easily adjustable, and supporting good weight distribution if you carry a heavy combo. Especially if you use the bottom connector.

 

Regarding buying from Overgaard, I also tried once. Never again. I paid upfront, waited for months, never got any reply on my follow-up mails. Only numerous unwanted „great discount“ offers. I was successful in getting my money back via PayPal insurance. I was halfway successful in delisting from the spam, they still pop up here and there.

Great!  His honest products deserve support!  I am sure that I also had direct correspondence with him over the years. He even told me about wife and the old times ...

So dunking on Thorsten’s e-commerce is easy.  He has a person handling it and apparently they are not doing a good job.  The products are good — I have a red strap for my M9-P and it’s beautiful.  Thorsten is doing a fantastic job with his site and workshops.  A one-man business has to sell itself and it’s tough, nothing wrong with that.  Just a pity that shipping and handling is damaging it when it would have been easy to fix.  I enjoy Thorsten’s writing and photography, he’s a real deal.  Let’s not overlook the art behind all those accessories.

Yes, I forgot that PP has a time limit for disputing - my fault.  But I never expected what I thought was a reputable site to simply not respond to a sales after a reasonable amount of time.  There was no further contact fromthe site; they basically took funds.  Not that much money but it taints the person behind the site.
