I am looking the need to do a repair on my favorite lens, Canon 28mm f2.8 LTM.  I note that the screws (flat blade) are remarkably thin slotted.

Since I hate working with cheap tools, and also hate buggering screws, anyone can recommend high quality tiny screw drivers for lenses?  Available in europe.

I like VESSEL screwdrivers. These are designed for working with Japanese screws, which are made to the JIS standard (if you see what looks like a Phillips screw on a Japanese lens, it's almost certainly JIS, which has a different profile and can be damaged by a Phillips screwdriver). They make various sets of precision screwdrivers, including flat head drivers, and you can find them on Amazon:

Ya.  Didn't know it until I took that picture with the handy iPhone.  I haven't noticed anything in images taken with this lens, but I'm going to go back and see if I can see it knowing about where it should be.

Fungus in the lens picture looks like a snowflake.

Regarding screwdrivers Japanese Vessel brand is top class, best known for cross type as JIS is different than European Philips, actually works better with both Japanese and other standards.  They also provide wide range of good quality flat screwdrivers.

You are Spanish, local brand is called IRAZOLA or similar, make good quality tools, I have both cross and flat small sizes which I ordered some time ago from Spanish guy who is still making lens adapters (google Leitax).

Two other good brands are German, Wiha and Werra.

Thanks for the replies!  I've ordered a set of Vessel screw drivers.  Never heard of the brand but they look well up to the job.

I had forgotten about Wiha and didn't know about Irazola so I put that in the mental bank just in case.  The Bergeon also appear to be high quality but I decided to stick with Japanese manufacture.

I bought some Wera screwdrivers after reading about them in another thread about which screwdrivers to buy. They seem to be good quality.
