I tend to "see long" so the Apo 75mm gets a lot of use - but when I got the 21mm a week ago, I began to see "wide" more often because it is so much sharper than my previous 21s! j_lir Posted December 17, 2024 Share #223 Posted December 17, 2024 My 21 stopped working … i forget the exact error, but it was not able to register with the camera out of nowhere … the power button blinks red and the lens won’t even focus manually, hate to see how long this will take. My experience with Leica SL lenses that go out of order close to purchase date, they simply swap out the lens either at the store or via NJ. My 21 was decentered on day one, I shipped it back to the store and it was immediately swapped out. Other SL lenses like my 90-280, Leica Germany simply stated the parts were not available at the time and swapped out the lens. Hey, just wondering how things went with the 21mm—was it repaired or did they end up removing it? Sounds like a frustrating issue with the red blinking and no manual focus.
