Will there be wide lenses with improved focus distance?

I just found out today that many of the new M lenses had improved focusing distance, what a game changer!

However I don't see this on the wider lenses, anyone thinks/knows if versions like this will come? And if we will see a wide Summicron?

Try super angulon with 0.4 mfd or collectible short run of elmarit 21 “tiger claw” or just wait, knowing how quick leica answers fast changing world, I should say wait patiently ;-]

or a third option find a talented, fearless mechanic and ask him to rebuild your lens.

quite usable on Leica M, not RF coupling but LV may be fine

The WATE, the Wide Angle Tri-Elmar, 16mm/18mm/21mm, has a minimum focusing distance of .5m, does it not? I do not own one, but recall that this is a feature of this lens.

The 21mm Elmarit pre asph early batches of lenses offered a 0,40m focusing distance , RF coupling starting at about 0,70m.
