Last October I purchased an EVF2 for my M10M (and now, M11) but only used it on a couple of occasions, then tucked it away in my bag.  A couple of weeks ago while traveling in the Cotswolds I pulled it out to use for some low-light shooting and one of the metal sides simply fell off.  On close inspection, it appears the (super?) glue failed.  I'm tempted to just glue it back together and hope that holds, but am looking for opinions from the more experienced Leica shooters here.

Should I contact the Leica store I purchased from, or go directly to Leica?  Or would you try the at-home repair first and see if that works?  As I stated earlier, I've not found myself using the EVF2 very often so if it has to go in for repairs I'll not really miss it.

Thanks in advance!

This could void the Leica and possibly legal warranty. I would ask your Leica store what to do.

If it is under warranty I would send it back to the store. Leica toys are too expensive to tolerate shoddy work.

I called Leica Store Miami and they said to return it to them for replacement.  They will return it to Leica for repairs.

Thanks for the variety of suggestions everyone!

I encountered the same issue - my EVF 2 also came apart, implying a possible design flaw. However, I managed to resolve the issue by applying a very tiny drop of glue. I could have sent it back to Leica for repairs, but that would maybe have required a lengthy wait, so I opted for the quicker fix.
