This is indeed as I do it (maybe 30-40%??). Edited February 3, 2024 by Alberti
Advertisement Posted February 3, 2024 Posted February 3, 2024 Hi Alberti, Take a look here Customer satisfaction survey Leica M11 owners (May 2023). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!

The M11 manual says "Except when high sensitivities are used, noise is luckily negligible." [p77] Is this really your experience? [In my M10 with 47 MP when I go to 100% to check for instance focus, the details are often washed and absorbed in noise sometimes even well below 2500A. The lighting temp is the reason of course.] Tolerance of noise is probably a personal thing. Unless pixel peeping, I find 5000 perfectly ok, especially for black and white but if you zoom in you can see a fair amount of noise. Above that, not really unless it’s needed to get the shot. Running the dng through DxO PureRaw solves the problem though - the software is transformative.
Alberti Posted February 4, 2024 Share #63 Posted February 4, 2024 Thanks, and I found out that noise reduction/luminance with a low detail level setting works well too in such circumstances.
