Outstanding!

My one criticism is that I'm not keen on her arm poking out of the frame. It makes me wonder what the rest of the arm is doing (leaning on something?). This would also work very well if cropped tightly up to the edge of her hair on both sides. That would put all the attention on her extraordinarily beautiful face.

I always appreciate that you are taking the time to discuss my photos Brent.  In this case I totally agree with you. I cropped the photo to get the focus on her wonderful eyes but I also was not so happy with the arm, but I loved the direct look into eyes which really caught my attendance.

Please have a look, this is the original version.

Marc, I actually do like this latest version much more. Now the arm makes more sense to me.

Cheers, Brent

Thank you very much for your input Brent. I like these discussions here in the forum, to hear different views and opinions. It was really very helpful

Thanks a lot Lelmer. From the point of image formation number two is more harmonic, I agree.

I like both.  The cropped version proves you can take an excellent 'head and shoulders' portrait with a 28mm lens.

You made the point. Sometimes I ask myself, why I use other cameras instead of the Q for portrait sessions. I never thought that with 28 mm and cropping is such a joy to use it also for portraits. It was just by accident that the Q became my portrait camera: when I was in Teheran I had the M10-D and the Q with me. With my mobile it took such a long time to see the photos on the monitor. It was a kind of frustrating. But I needed the photos on the screen to discuss with the model the next steps. So I took the Q2 and I was very surprised when I saw how easy it was to work with this camera.
