Pre or post tax? I very much hope you are correct about the £5500, as I have budgeted for £6000.

Hi, it’s purely an assumption on my part but if the Euro price is 5950 as stated by the leaks online, then that bodes well for the UK price to be circa 10% lower. VAT included.

Given Leica's rekindled relationship with Phase One (for Capture One), it will be interesting to see who wins the race to be the first company offering DNG profiles for the Q3, Phase One or Adobe. If it is Phase One, I may have to revisit my decision not to upgrade from C1 version 21 to 23. If it is Adobe, I may finally have to bite the bullet and learn to love Lightroom. Neither course of action fills me with joy.

I could teach you Lightroom Classic....no reason not to love it. Quick culling, good DNG adjustments, and even masking tools. Export into Photoshop as needed and close, saves as TIFF back in Lightroom.

Leica dealer in Sweden posted this on a website just today. 6200 euro worth, small price hike.

"World news, now in stock"

The fact that Leica dealers seem to be predicting some customer stock is looking good for me for this coming Saturday morning, given I am at the top of the queue.

I wonder if that price includes VAT which, IIRC, in Sweden is 25%

wouldn't it be nice if you could zoom in on the crop boundaries, instead of trying to compose the tiniest of rectangle.

Ah.... it's on my wishlist. That's how the fuji does it, fills the EVF or Screen with the crop. Would be nice to have at least an option to do that

I would love the option to fill the screen with the crop! Considering there's now a 90mm crop I would think they have to have that as an option. I can't imagine composing a 90mm crop otherwise.

I wonder if it is still not possible to see the section as a crop in the viewfinder instead of just the frame when choosing 35, 50, 75 and even 90 mm. 75mm were already small, 90mm will be even more "fun“. I know that this is always due to the rangefinder principle of Leica cameras. That's okay too, but they could leave it up to the user how they want it and store it as a menu setting.

That bothered me a lot with the Q2. It would be nice if Leica gave a corresponding option for the Q3. Technically it's not a problem at all.

I was invited at my local leica store today to try the Q3. A lot of people were, but I couldn’t go because I was busy.
im picking up my q3 tomorrow afternoon. Not too exited about it, but let’s see if the AF can change my mind.

Very curious to hear your thoughts (especially about the AF)!

I called local last week asking for demo in the day of annoncement. They played a game "We do not know what are you talking about". I might call them again next week, really want to hold Q3 before ordering.

This photo confirmed to me that I definitely need a Q3 to accompany my Q2M. I need colours for this kind of moments 🥂

Yeah, my Leica store never acknowledges stuff until it's been released. I'm always amazed to hear people getting inside info, sneak peaks, etc.
