Leica Q3 ?

just made some points elsewhere, but I should be in here...

Just sold the Q2M, so ready with some cash for the Q3 but have not pre-ordered.

The 64gb internal storage? well as the Qs don't have dual-card slots, this might help for professional work. Shoot RAW on card, JPG backups to internal storage. Extra peace of mind, particularly for those using one for weddings.

Only recently became apparently there is a screw hole on the shutter button, really happy about that. Street photography, hipshooting, I cradle the camera with both hands and use the side of my thumb  to press the shutter (just my way of coping with the street photography anxiety, and I like the angle) - anyway sometimes I find I haven't taken a photo because I didn't press the shutter far enough, a soft shutter button addon works for me.

Live music / chihuahuas / other random stuff at low angles - means I'm happy for a flip screen, the Hasselblad X2D got one and my Sony A1's have them and I use them all the time.

60MP means the 50mm has a few more MP which is nice for when I want to use it, though I only really used crop modes for live music where I wanted an added variety of shots without having to take another camera.

Phase detection, improved AF? I'm hoping that will help with wide open hip shooting street photography, and maybe it'll be less likely to choose bright skies over the subject when using wide area AF.

With 1TB internal storage I don't bother with a memory card for my Hasselblad X2D, with 256gb I wouldn't with a Q3 either - but if it's 64gb then it sometimes verging on not enough for me to store RAWs from an event.

Watch the video and you'll notice some inconsistencies:  In one shot there are no buttons on the back, but there are some on the rest of the rear photos; Notice that there is a rangefinder window on the front; notice there is a rangefinder vented lens hood.  these last two suggest they used an M for those shots.

I did not find EVF resolution and battery type, no size and weight either.

a few more thoughts while we wait for 25.05:

• Weight: like the black M11, it should be about 100g lighter? nice!
• Memory card: probably SD again, but if the rumours about 8k video are true, it could also be CFExpress B. What do you think?
• Apple MFi - what does it mean?

I'd hope they'd spring for at least a 5.76M EVF (and hopefully 120Hz). I imagine size and weight is slightly higher, as the tilting back screen would add some?

I'm afraid all of these will make it as X2 to X113 transition.

Can’t see Leica putting more internal memory in the Q3 than in the M11. While I know the M11M has more integral memory, it also sits at a higher price point than the standard M11.
