The microlenses and filters are the bit that give the sensor its character. But it will almost certainly be the exact same sensor as the Q3, which has PDAF and the exact same focus system as the S5II (slightly different graphic interface but identical functionality). So, depending on lenses the Q3 should give a pretty good idea of the sensors *character*. And extremely close in DR as well. The microlenses *may* be different but I would think it would be far more economical for Leica to duplicate those in the Q and SL cameras. Very interesting and fun to scrutinize the icons. I would like to have a copy of this invitation. I think it's very creative and also a nice memento.

And the exposure compensation can be adjusted in increments of 1/6 EV. etc... Edited February 23, 2024 by helged

The thicker cover glass of the GFX, which is also gapped away from the sensor, may act as a very mild anti-aliasing filter. The M11 has extremely thin cover glass.

There got to be a difference!

I am looking forward to using my L-mount lenses on the same base sensor from the M11 and Q3 on the new SL3. Yes, there will be differences. My main interest is in feeding 60MPs or more resolution to my SL APO primes 😎 No, I don't expect dramatic differences between 47MP FF FSI and 60MP FF BSI. There got to be a difference! has it to do with cooling like a copper frame around the sensor? I was able to check out tear-down videos of various Leica cameras.
