Frank Sellitto Posted October 22, 2012 Share #165 Posted October 22, 2012 Coming back to Tina's shot, it has a Julia Margaret Cameron feel to it. Really lovely work. Tina, I thought the same exact thing. Beautifully rendered. Congratulations! Frank

Popular Post Guest WPalank Posted October 24, 2012 Popular Post Share #175 Posted October 24, 2012 "They Say I Looked Like a Movie Star" While walking along the Tenderloin, San Francisco, just previous to a Giants game I saw this gentleman cautiously walk by, shoulders hunched and I could hear a ball-game emanating from a radio in his pocket. "Giants are playing already?" I asked. "No, just a pre-game show with highlights I'm listening to" he answered not even slowing down. Noticing his hat "Air Force", I questioned "Mind if I take your picture, you have an interesting face." he paused and looked doubtful. I then volleyed with "My father was an Air Force Fighter Pilot and Lifer". He said "Sure, go ahead". I took a picture, ehhhhh.. He then said, "Want to see my picture from the good times?". "I'd love to." He pulled out a mangled card from the pocket of his tweed jacket. The photograph held within was in perfect condition as if it was printed yesterday. He held it in front of his face and said, "When I show this picture to people they say I looked like a Movie star". He glanced at his his vintage print quickly, longingly while eeking out a smile, then quickly scurried off. Welcome, dear visitor! Guest WPalank Posted October 27, 2012 Share #176 Posted October 27, 2012 This gentleman from New Zealand and living presently in Hong Kong was featured on the Eric Kim> Leica Blog several months ago. He roams the seedier areas of Hong Kong during the night. I immediately made him a contact on Flickr and I was pleased that he added me back. Anyway, it looks like he just got a Monochrom and I look forward to more of his work: Flickr: K_iwi's Photostream
