cwcltd Posted January 4, 2023 Share #2 Posted January 4, 2023 Peak Design anchors and (1) Slide (2) Leash or (3) cuff depending what lens is on the camera. Also connect a nifty COOP Leica Paracord hand strap using the PD anchors. Excellent ‘system’.

ajmarton1 Posted January 4, 2023 Share #4 Posted January 4, 2023 Rock n Roll straps are great. I have this one but there's several other models that are great as well. https://rocknrollstraps.com/shop/camera-straps/rock-n-roll-straps/goliath-rock-n-roll-sl2-s-black/
robb Posted January 4, 2023 Share #5 Posted January 4, 2023 I favor rope type straps on my cameras for their simplicity. I don’t find any of the SL2 cameras as that heavy so the ropes don’t really cut into my shoulder. I have used a wider type strap previously but now just go for the simple ropes… Robb

SL2 / SL2-S ? Post a picture of your camera with your favorite strap GO ! The SL2's OEM strap is the very first OEM strap I've ever used for any camera system. Basic black, so pretty much invisible if that appeals to you, super light weight, but for me extremely comfortable and reliable carry and not a spec of metal anywhere to scratch up our expensive gear while carrying or stowing in the bag. I hate to use this heavily forum overused phrase...but the SL2 OEM strap never leaves my camera. Oh and grateful the Leica logo on this strap is nearly invisible too--very tasteful IMO. Unlike the giant white Leica logo on the front of the SL2, but since I spend most of my time behind the camera--I stopped worrying about the giant white Leica logo on the front of my camera --LOL Edited January 4, 2023 by LBJ2
jigesh Posted January 4, 2023 Share #7 Posted January 4, 2023 Advertisement (gone after registration) I use and and am very happy with Slim 30 series Lucky Straps (with "long length" and "quick release" options) for my two SL2; and Slim20 for Q2 (sometimes also use their Simple 20 and Simple 30 wrist straps). They're simple, flexible and very convenient for cross-body wearing which I prefer.
Jean-Michel Posted January 4, 2023 Share #8 Posted January 4, 2023 Well, here is opinion number 7! Check out https://www.harrybenz.com/shop Harry made me a custom length Brogue for my SL2. The hinge design makes perfect sense, and I found that it works perfectly for me.

Being able to take it off and switch to a wrist strap or nothing at all was a game changer for me. Oh, I use the Slide whenever I take the 90-280 out.

I got it after buying the Sigma 150-600, it felt like thinner straps were not enough to support that weight. I believe they were, but this felt more secure.
huwm Posted January 5, 2023 Share #12 Posted January 5, 2023 Peak Design I've Slide and Slide Lite but I only really use the Lite as i haven't acquired a 'massive' zoom yet (probably won't) and i actually use it to carry a messenger bag whose strap broke The clutch is nice for primes and is probably my most used The Leash and Cuff are for the Q2 in my instance but do work with the SL2 Welcome, dear visitor! kobra Posted January 6, 2023 Share #13 Posted January 6, 2023 Rock N Roll "guitar style" strap for SL series. Just got it, and it looks fantastic, and the links really do make it seem like the load is lighter. https://rocknrollstraps.com/shop/camera-straps/rock-n-roll-straps/rock-n-roll-sl2-black/ I ordered the 125cm as then it can be worn cross body. I have used other models of their straps in the past, and all have been very well made and have stood up very well. Brad
Daniel C.1975 Posted January 6, 2023 Share #14 Posted January 6, 2023 (edited) In my humble opinion: Eddycam and the search is over Best strap I ever had. Have the 35 for my M, or now my Q and the 50mm for my SL2s. Very comfortable, good looking but not too posh or pretentious. For the SL the Eddycam „easy remover“ snaps are not working, don‘t add them. PeakDesign anchors are the much better solution. Update: Just saw, that there was a huge price increase in the late past. I thought they always have been costly, but now they are, unfortunately, really expensive. I believe I‘ve paid around 150-170 Euro depending on the model, but now they are at 249 😕 Edited January 6, 2023 by Daniel C.1975

Very comfortable, highly recommended.
Photoworks Posted January 8, 2023 Share #16 Posted January 8, 2023 I have many traps from Leica, Upstrap Eddycam and others, they all use the OP/TECH USA Mini QD Loops on every camera for quick on off or switch . The loops are on every camera the past five or more years and never failed me, even the SL2 with 90-280 lens. Welcome, dear visitor! Pixeleater Posted January 13, 2023 Share #17 Posted January 13, 2023 The rock n roll strap that I once used on the SL2 is to be avoided. It has a design flaw that made it unreliable and will forever be relegated to my banishment drawer. YMMV.
Donald M Posted January 13, 2023 Share #18 Posted January 13, 2023 Using the Eddycam hand strap with Sl in combination with mostly 24-90. Very happy with it. For a shoulder strap I use the Magpul strap as I have the RRS base plate. Very easy to connect and deconnect, but I prefer using the hand strap. With the Eddycam my camera bag is used as the ‘shoulder strap’ 😊

FlashGordonPhotography Posted January 15, 2023 Share #20 Posted January 15, 2023 Sling strap. Any sling strap you like. No brand loyalty. I use a modified RapidStrap with a QD connector and RRS plate. Gordon
