That's why R bodies are so cheap.  If you don't already have a stable of lenses, you're going to pay dearly for them.  KF adapters once made a Pentacon 6 to Leica R adapter.  That would probably be the least expensive set of lenses you could get...  some of the FSU P-6 glass is quite good and still reasonably priced.

Hard to believe no one has made something to adapt another lens to an R body ? Yes i know about the difficulties of doing it  , but someone is missing the boat here.   Buy and R  Lens people say , that's all well and good if you have a small fortune to spend and can find one that isn't a lemon .

The market is too small, and physics dictates that almost every other brand would have to sit down inside an R body by a couple of mm.  I don't know how you'd accomplish it.

Tamron is the answer.

There is a Hasselblad V lens to Leica R adapter. One used to be made by Novoflex and Fotodiox still make one. That would work as R FFL is 47mm and Hasselblad FFL: 74.9mm. However unless one has a stable of Hasselblad V lenses, little point as the Hasselblad lenses are larger and usually at least as expensive as Leica R.
