menos I M6 Posted December 13, 2009 Share #261 Posted December 13, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Why do you have tape over your window? What does it do for you? If you tape over the light collector like in my M6 photograph, you get about half the brightness and contrast in the bright line frames but minimize the rangefinder whiteout with strong light sources. If you shoot in low light, this helps immensely with the M6 and M7 0.85 rangefinder too.

underground Posted December 13, 2009 Share #262 Posted December 13, 2009 Very cool! I have had problems in stronger light. I'll have to try it out after all the rain here. Thank you.
menos I M6 Posted December 13, 2009 Share #263 Posted December 13, 2009 You're welcome - Just start with a big patch and cut it down until you get the bright lines as dim as you can still tolerate and see good in day light.

How are you liking the results?

I guess everything is well and running smoothly? Thank you, Never missed a beat so far, wasn't that cold today only was -20 C. I let her thaw out for a wile in the back room where it isn't as warm as in the rest of the house. Peter
menos I M6 Posted December 14, 2009 Share #268 Posted December 14, 2009 One can see - you provide much love to your M6 ;-) How does the 50 lux behave in the cold - does the focus go much stiffer as normal?
imported_peter_m Posted December 14, 2009 Share #269 Posted December 14, 2009 Dirk, I do take care of my M6 but she as to come along on the outings In cold wetter everything gets a bit stiffer but focus is still smooth just a bit stiffer then in warm wetter but then it seams I am a bit stiffer as well with all the extra layers and gloves.
