Hmmm.. ok, with those facetious comments aside, I do appreciate that Leica supports the broad community of Leica M users and allows us to keeps our M10's up to date. As a software/hardware high-tech industry engineer..I very much appreciate the effort on the support side. Thanks Leica!

Downloaded, installed and happy to say my M10-P works well.

Would be great if every firmware release with support for new lenses, came with a discount code for their purchase. 😉

i think for just a "new lens profiles" update, the version number jump is quite high, probably a lot of small silent fixes, wanna take a bet whether or not the cameras will still freeze?

Sounds like the M10 is a mature and stable platform that just needs to be brought up to speed with current and near future lens offerings and minor performance tweaks that are probably not an issue for the vast majority of users.

I agree. This took a long time to load (and download from Leica) for the simple addition of the new lenses.

😀 i was referring to steel rim, havent got the time to update and shoot but the last time it was identified as summicron, may be related to my setting when uncoded lens is mounted

Likely it treats an unkown code as a uncoded lens.

I’ve never understood why Leica won’t allow you to add your uncloded lenses to the favorites list so you don’t need to dive in to the full list each time you use them, assuming you have more than one that is uncoded. Or at least allow flagging of your lenses in the full list.

Allowing use of old, uncoded lenses is a sales incentive for old Leica users. Making it a bit inconvenient to use them is sales incentive for new lenses - good marketing in both cases.
