Bill W Posted September 20, 2007 Share #24 Posted September 20, 2007 It seems like there are a lot of folks that prefer the 24, 35, 75 group and a lot that preer the 28, 50, 90 group. I would personally go with the 24, 35, 75 if I were limited to just 3 lenses. I do not like attaching and using external finders.

Fin Posted September 20, 2007 Share #27 Posted September 20, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Aw Geez! - I thought this would be such a useful thread seeing how I'm on two lenses and looking to get a third. But it produces more questions than answers!! With a 24 and a Nocti, do I go for a CV15? (love the 20 FOV on the M8 shots I've seen) or the 90 F4? (love macro) - aaaaargh! Fin The CV15, complete with CV 21mm viewfinder and CV screw/bayonet adapter currently costs £307 plus postage from Robert White - I reckon that's pretty inexpensive if you want to test your reaction to its FOV before going the whole hog with Milich bayonet adapter, Leica IR filter and Milich lens hood/filter holder - especially as you'll have no trouble selling it on to someone else on this forum if you don't like it. I've had one since October last year and wouldn't be without it.

dspeltz Posted September 20, 2007 Share #30 Posted September 20, 2007 M8- WATE, 35 lux, 75 cron If I have to be ultra light, I would substitute the 24 for the WATE.

Jack_Flesher Posted September 20, 2007 Share #33 Posted September 20, 2007 We shoudl probably have the mods make these sticky Three lenses is a pretty common M goal. Personally, I would have a tough time sticking to only three, but would go with the 28 Cron, 50 Lux and 75 Lux. (And then I would sneak a CV 15 or 21 in the bag unannounced.) porsche targa Posted September 20, 2007 Share #34 Posted September 20, 2007 CV 35, CV 40, CV 50, all Nokton, would be a great combo - what do you think?
leicashot Posted September 20, 2007 Share #35 Posted September 20, 2007 LOL, this is where everyone answers with a fourth option that they can't live without! This type of thread is getting really repetitive lately on all related forums.....the one lens only threads are much more interesting.....at least people could post an image with there answer as an example of the type of situation they use a particular lens.....this is just plain boring and Inter-geekish
