johnbuckley Posted September 19, 2007 Share #1 Posted September 19, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Alright folks, we've discussed the one lens people would have, if they could only have one. We know the two lenses many would have if they could only have two. What three lenses would you have if you a) could have three, but could ONLY have three? I'll go first: 24 Elmarit, 35 Asph Lux, 75 Asph Cron.

Printmaker Posted September 19, 2007 Share #3 Posted September 19, 2007 I like what I have: 21 Zeiss Biogon, 35 CVM, 90 Elmarit M, because I like a wide that is wide but not too wide, a normal and a tele that gives me a tight face portrait or can pull in a shot. However, I'm saving to replace the 35 CVM with a Summicron. Tom
Guest guy_mancuso Posted September 20, 2007 Share #4 Posted September 20, 2007 LOL, this is where everyone answers with a fourth option that they can't live without! I was going to go 5 with no options. LOL Alright now if I did not have any lenses and was strictly going to put the money out for new and three only i would go 24, 35 and 75. But since i don't have a 24mm and go with what i have WATE , 28 and

nryn Posted September 20, 2007 Share #11 Posted September 20, 2007 3 is my limit when traveling; I prefer 2. But if I don't know what might be available to shoot, I bring the 35 lux and 75 cron and either the 24 elmarit or the CV 15. Heading to Barcelona in a couple of weeks and I'll have the 24, 35, and 75.
Fotomiguel Posted September 20, 2007 Share #12 Posted September 20, 2007 28 Elmarit, 50 cron and 75 cron. 1300E, 1200E and 1700E (with the 30%less) I think that Quality/price the best you can get! I'm very happy with all three! cheers!
trs Posted September 20, 2007 Share #13 Posted September 20, 2007 If I were to add to my 28/75 combo, probably I will also do 28,50,75. Some how, 50mm frame-line looks attractive. Right now, happy with 28/75 combo. -tanka

luigi bertolotti Posted September 20, 2007 Share #15 Posted September 20, 2007 21 , 35, & 75. Dr ditto ... I propose not to go along with these kind of threads ... ONE is funny, but insisting on 3, 4 and on I think is a waste of space...
norm_snyder Posted September 20, 2007 Share #16 Posted September 20, 2007 28 Summicron, 75 'Lux, and I'll probably be adding an 18mm Zeiss. Have a 21 now I'll probably sell, as it's not really wide enough for my use on the M8. NS
Eoin Posted September 20, 2007 Share #17 Posted September 20, 2007 Easy, 28 Summicron Asph, 50 Noctilux & 85 Summarex. But you know it won't stop there!
carstenw Posted September 20, 2007 Share #18 Posted September 20, 2007 28 Cron A, 35 Lux A, 75 Cron A (75 Lux also works for the last one, but it is rather bulky and not so sharp until f/2.8 or f/4).
